It was lovely see St Joseph's church on the website, I attended the church when it was a stable, I watched the church hall being built and was married there to Brian, 23/2/1957 (we are 50 years married this year) and now living on Waiheke Island NZ where I was on the building committee to build our present church here, St Peter's, and yes I did bring out old photographs for ideas of a circular church. God bless you all Pauline SFO

We are parishioners of St Joseph's - not in Leicester - in Upminster, Essex. Since our son started at University in Leicester, we have often attended Mass at your church while visiting him. Our thanks for the welcome we have always received, the great little tea bar (most welcome after our 3 hour drive) and especially for the thought provoking words of Fr John, your wonderful priest. Look after him, he is a treasure! God bless you all. Pat & Bob O'Brien

I'm so sorry you were not able to see the children's pages, Sister Maree. You do not have to use a password to see them- just click on my head ( the dog's head on the left) and that will take you to the children's site. Then click on the items you want, such as 'What happened on Sunday'. You only need a password if you want to talk to someone else on the site. I hope you enjoy the pages. We enjoyed Sister Maura's visit. Woof!

Congratulations Father John on a wonderful parish website. It is amazing to see so much happening in the Parish catering for all ages. Sister Maura O'Connell a very good friend of mine from Australia has mentioned the parish several times so I thought I would find the website and there I saw Toddy and Maggie O'Connell at one of the activities. I would have liked to be able to open the children's liturgy website but that wasn't possible. I am a Sister of St Joseph of the Sacred Heart from Western Australia and our foundress is Blessed Mary MacKillop.(Australia's first saint) we are waiting for the second miracle for her to be canonized for the Universal Church. You may like to go to the website www.sosj.org.au and you will find lots of interesting information about Mary and the Sisters of st. Joseph. May God Bless you John and all your Parishioners.

Today has been a wonderful 1st Holy Communion day for Tiffany. I would like to thank Fr John; Alison and Rebecca for the music (the solo that was sung during the service was lovely), and the people who were in charge of the refreshments. Last but not least, we would like to thank Maria for organizing the day. She made a special day even more special. Thankyou each and everyone of you, for your contributions today.(Please feel free to add Tiffany's name to your list of children on the Holy Communion page)

I have often admired your church in passing. I wonder if you could put up a few details about the architect on your website. Many thanks.

I just visited your website to download a picture of the church and was very impressed with the site design and detail. The photo is to appear on a card for our 25th wedding anniversary which we will celebrate on the 28 March. We were married by Monsignor O'Dowd at the church and now find ourselves 25 years later in South Africa working as missionaries. Didn't think that would have happened twenty five years later. I cannot do it personally but would like to record our thanks to Monsignor O'Dowd and various nuns from the convent who made the day very special for us. I don't think Monsignor knew at the time how much he helped to organise things for us as a young couple doing our own thing for the wedding.

What a wonderful informative website. We can now thank Father John (and let the world know) how wonderful he made our very small and intimate wedding 3 years (4/4/03) and how beautiful he made our first son's - Jacob Christopher's baptism the most beautiful ever. We had so many comments on how wonderful you made the service. Thank-you Father for you constant support personally and throughout the parish - what would we do without you? Thank-you for making our parish one open to all xxx

I am so pleased that Inter Care features under "Charities that we can support" on St. Joseph's website and I have been very grateful for support through Watermead. I am very happy to continue as the link person between the parish and Inter Care but thought I should let people know that I have now handed over my Adminstrator's job (after 20 years!) - to another Margaret. I'm now a Trustee of the charity - and very happy to talk about it to anyone who is interested. If you want to know more, you can identify me through Alison or Fr. John. Also, we do have a website: www.intercare.org.uk. P. S. Thanks to everyone who has made me feel part of the "St. Joseph's family" - I wish you all a blessed New Year.

I love the Scatter Cards and am finding it difficult to part with them ! Another wonderful idea, thank you and God bless you.
| Eileen Brooks | 25 September 2005 00:00:00 |
The Parish website is looking good! It would be nice, if it was much easier to find the parish newsletter "on-line"
| Eileen Brooks | 25 September 2005 00:00:00 |
P.S. It takes a combination of 5 mouseclicks and two page scrolls to display the current pariosh newsletter; it would be lovely to have an extra weblink on the front page index which takes you straight to the latest parish newsletter ! Just a thought!

Really interesting and some of the news is not all in the major newspapers - in other words it's not secondhand news. Keep up the good work Terry. Next stop the Vatican Times......

I was fortunate to be one of the people who visited Rome in March this year and while I'm not a member of your church or the parish I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone I travelled with for making me feel so welcome. It was a very special experience and one I shall remember for a long time. Sadly I am unable to join the 2006 pilgrimage to Rome but I am looking forward to being with the group who travel to France in the October. Once again, many thanks to Father John, Alison and the other very special pilgrims who made up the 2005 group.
